Know about the Recipe : 
Bombay Halwa / Cornflour Halwa is a very popular Indian sweet dish made with cornflour. Also called as Karachi Halwa. It is a very easy halwa to make. I am tasting this halwa since my childhood, but never get a chance to do it at home. But this time, kids are not leaving me, because they have found and tasted this Bombay halwa in almost all sweet boxes for this Diwali and questioned me why I am not doing this halwa at home. So, finally I have tried this amazing glossy sweet for my kids.

Its really very easy and no risk halwa prepared using very few ingredients. All you have to do is add all ingredients to the pan and keep on stirring carefully till it reaches to correct consistency. 

So what are you waiting for?? Get ready, keep your ingredients ready and start preparing Bombay Halwa now. It is soft, glossy, yummy and awsome in taste and you all, especially kids will love it.

INGREDIENTS : 
1/2 cup Corn  flour
1.25 cups Water

1.25 cups Sugar
1 cup Water

1/4 cup roasted Melon Seeds
1/4 spoon Citric acid
1 cup Vanaspathi / Ghee
Food Colour
1/4 spoon Ilaichi Powder

METHOD : 
1) In a bowl, dissolve cornfloor in water and whisk it well to avoid lumpls and make a solution.
2) Take a pan, mix sugar in water, bring it to boil and melt it.
3) Reduce heat to medium and add cornflour solution and start stirring continuously. 
4) Add Citric acid and mix well. 
5) Start adding Vanaspati / Ghee spoon by spoon, keep on stirring and mix well.
6) Add  food colour and mix well again.
7) Finally add roasted melon seeds, Ilaichi powder and mix well.
8) When the mixture gets thick and reaches desired consistency, switch off the flame.
9) Transfer to a bowl and allow to cool.
10) Cut into desired shape and size and serve this awsome Halwa when cool.
