Sunday is always is a bit lazy and relaxing day. But breakfast to dinner everyone at home love to have special tastes on this day. As always I have planned to make Dosa, so kept the batter ready. Now its a serious problem for me to find a new chutney for my dosa.
Last week I have prepared Instant Dosa Chutney and what to do now...?? Then to save my time, I tried to prepare a chutney that can be easily spread on dosa. Yes.. that was a good idea of making a Chutney spread using Onions. I have prepared a Chutney with onions, garlic, jeera and salt. Once it got ready, I have proceeded with spreading the Dosa. When it cooked, I have spread 1 spoon of this Onion Chutney on top of dosa and folded it when cooked properly. Truly onion gave a good flavour to the dosa and my "Onion Chutney Dosa" is liked by everyone at home.
Dear friends, why to wake up early on Sunday??? Here is the easy way to make Dosa more tasty in very less time. Follow the below steps and enjoy a lovely sunday with tasty and yummy "Onion Chutney Dosa". You can also spead this Onion chutney for Masala Dosa also.
INGREDIENTS :
Dosa batter
1/2 cup Onion
3 Garlic cloves
1/4 spoon Jeera
1/4 spoon Red Chilly powder
1 Pinch Cooking Soda
Oil
Salt to taste
METHOD :
1) In a mixie, add chopped onions, garlic, jeera, salt and red chilly powder.
2) Mix to a paste.
3) In a pan, add a spoon oil and fry the above made onion paste to make Onion Chutney ready.
4) Take Dosa batter, add a pinch of cooking soda, salt and mix well.
5) On a tawa, spead a nice dosa.
6) When it gets cooked, add a spoon of Onion Chutney on top of dosa.
7) Spread nicely and cook for one more minute.
8) Fold it and serve hot.
9) Enjoy the taste of Onion Chutney Dosa.
Tips :
1) Do not add water to the Chutney while grinding, to preserve for some time.
2) If you want, you can tamarind also to the Onion chutney.
