CORN ALOO TIKKI - Yummy Evening Snack

If anyone talk about hot sweet corn, aloo, tikki.... we feel mouth watering. That too in this chilling weather... no way.. its just irrestible. I am presenting a super chatpata snack for all of you at this weekend. Some boiled potatoes, cup of sweet corn, few awesome spices... these are the things you need to prepare this yummy recipe. Let me end your guesses friends... I am preparing a super easy, quick recipe "CORN ALOO TIKKI", an amazing tea time snack using these simple ingredients. 

Aloo Tikki is a very popular north Indian Evening snack and I have added delicious sweet corn for a superb flavour and taste. In a mixie I have added a cup of sweet corn, green chillies and onion and ground to make a paste. Then grated boiled potatoes to it, mixed well by adding dhaniya powder, chat masala, red chilly powder, salt, few coriander leaves. Sweet corn contains lot of moisture in it. So to make the dough thick, I have added 2 table spoons of maida. Later greased a plate with oil and applied little oil on my palm too, to avoid sticking of the dough while making Tikkis. Taken a small amount of dough and made tikkis. Shallow fried them on a tawa on a low flame till they turn golden brown in colour. By shallow frying the tikkis, a golden brownish crispy layer forms outside which gives a crunchy feel outside and maintains the softness inside. Now my Corn Aloo Tikkis are ready to taste.

INGREDIENTS : 
1 cup Sweet corn
2 Green Chillies
1/4 cup Onion
2 Boiled Potatoes
1/4 tsp Dhaniya Powder
1/2 tsp Chat Masala
1/2 tsp Red chilly powder
1/2 tsp Salt
2 tbsp Maida
Coriander leaves

METHOD : 
1) In a mixie, add sweet corn, green chillies, onion and grind to make a paste.
2) Now take boiled potatoes and grate them into corn mixture.
3) Add dhaniya powder, chat masala, red chilly powder, salt and coriander leaves and mix well.
4) To make the dough thick, add maida as required. 
5) Apply oil to a plate and to your palms.
6) Take a small amount of dough and make Tikkis.
7) In a tawa add oil for shallow frying.
8) Add Tikkis and keep a low flame.
9) Fry tikkis on both sides till they turn to golden brown colour.
10) Hot, tasty and yummy Corn Aloo Tikkis are ready to taste now.

Tips : 
1) If you want them more crispy, you can add corn flour along with maida.
2) Cook on a low flame.
