INSTANT FISH FRY

Fish is the regular part of daily meal in almost all parts of coastal India. We usually prefer to cook dishes with the locally available fish varieties. In India, wide range of fish recipes are cooked using different styles of masalas and different techniques of cooking.

Fish Fry is the best, hot & spicy, finger licking recipe loved by all age groups. We usually prefer to use boneless / less bones fishes for making Fish Fry.  In Hyderabad Apollo Fish is a very popular and highly served fish fry in restaurants.

Today I am presenting a simple, easy and quick to make 'INSTANT FISH FRY'. We have gone to my sister's farm house (60 kms. from Hyderabad) this weekend. On the way back to Hyderabad, bought some fresh "Bocha" (Carpo Fish) type of Fishes. It was already 8 PM when we reached home. Kids were already tired and not ready to wait much time to taste their favourite Fish Fry. So I have decided to make Fish Fry that can be done very quickly. I used very simple ingredients like Salt, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, dhaniya powder and ginger garlic paste. Mixed well all the ingredients. Added fish pieces and applied this masala to all the pieces. To avoid marination, I have squeezed half a lemon juice and mixed well again. Lemon juice helps the fishes to quickly absorb all the masala into it. Later shallow fried them in a pan adding oil. Fish takes just 7 minutes to cook each side. And my Instant Fish Fry got ready in just 20 min.

INGREDIENTS : 
1 Kg Fish pieces
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Red Chilly Powder
1 tsp Turmeric Powder
3/4 tsp Dhaniya Powder
1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
2 ladles Oil
1/2 Lemon juice

METHOD : 
1) In a bowl, add salt, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, dhaniya powder and ginger garlic paste.
2) Mix all ingredients well.
3) Add Fish pieces and apply masala to all fish pieces.
4) Add lemon juice and mix well again.
5) Take a pan and heat oil. 
6) Add Fish pieces and cook for 7 min.
7) Turn to other side and add some more oil.
8) Cook for 7 min. again. 
9) Dish out and serve.
10) Enjoy the taste of hot & spicy INSTANT  FISH FRY.

Tips : 
1) No need of marination when you add Lemon juice.
2) Lemon juice helps in absorbing all the masala to fish pieces.
3) You can also deep fry the fish.
